Fire number signs must be ordered through the Barron County Zoning Office. On their website, look for the form titled “Barron County Rural Address Application”. There is a fee of $35.00 to order a replacement sign. Once the sign has been manufactured, it will be shipped to the Town of Stanley and we will bring it to you. If you also need a new post, contact the Town.
The Town of Stanley does not have a permanent site for the disposal of yard waste. The waste can be taken to the Barron County Waste to Energy plant south of Almena for a fee. Branches, twigs, etc must be separate from leaves and grass clippings as they will be unloaded in separate areas. Leaves and clippings can be loose or in biodegradable paper bags. They can not be dropped off in plastic bags. Check out the WTE department on Barron County’s website for current fee rates and further information.
There are several locations around Barron County to drop off materials for recycling. Items accepted include some plastic containers, glass bottles and tin/aluminum cans. Some sites also have a bin for cardboard and paper. There are bins located in Cameron on 6th Street just south of the railroad crossing. Please check the WTE department on Barron County’s website for more information.
